Daily life at The Académie
At The Académie, school life is thoughtfully designed to support academic growth, curiosity, and global awareness. Building on the strong foundations established in Maternelle, students continue to grow through a bilingual and bicultural experience that helps them better understand themselves, their environment, and the world in both French and English.
School Hours & Care
Our daily schedule is structured to support learning, consistency, and family needs. Students begin their day in a welcoming environment with the option of free morning care before classes start.
School opens: 7:30 AM
Free morning care (“garderie”): 7:30 AM – 8:20 AM
Classes: 8:20 AM – 3:35 PM
After-school care: 3:35 PM – 5:00 PM (additional fee)
Lunch
Lunch is provided by the school and reflects our commitment to well-being and sustainability. Families can expect healthy, fresh meals that align with the values we promote in daily school life.
Our Uniform Policy
We believe a simple, comfortable uniform helps students feel part of a caring and inclusive community. Our uniform includes a required school top, paired with bottoms of the family’s choice to support both belonging and individuality.
Subjects include:
- School top required: T-shirt or sweatshirt
- Bottoms: Choice of pants, skirts, shorts, etc.
Uniform Pricing:
- School T-shirt: $18
- School Sweatshirt: $25
After-School Programs
After-school programs are available for families who want extended care and enriching supervised activities in a safe, supportive environment. These programs are offered at an additional cost.
Wednesday Afternoons
Inspired by Belgian educational traditions, there is no school on Wednesday afternoons. This schedule supports rest, creativity, and family time, while optional Wednesday afternoon programs are also available for families who need them.

Holiday Camps
The Académie offers camps during select school holidays throughout the year. These bilingual programs combine learning, creativity, play, and exploration, and may be available to enrolled students as well as outside families depending on space. Camps are offered at an additional cost.
